▶ 10th Celadon Festival


- 2005. 7. 30 ~ 8. 7(9 days)


The 10th Gangjin Celadon Festival was held under the theme of "Soil, Fire, and Human", which means that jade green Goryeo Celadon, the mystery of a thousand years, is born in combination with soil and fire, which is the origin of life, and human spirit.

It included a variety of useful experiences from the different events, well?planned exhibitions, abundant performances, and other accompanying events such as: Making Celadon Soil, Making of Celadon, Dye Nails with a Garden Balsam, Celadon Contest, and Ceramic Artist’s Workshop.? It was a very exciting festival which united the past, the present, and the future.  A number of Korean and foreign visitors graced this event.


▶ 9th Celadon Festival


- 2004. 7. 31 ~ 8. 6 (7 days)


The Gangjin Celadon Culture Festival has been selected as the best festival in the Nation for 3 years in a row since 2002. It earned high rating because its program is distinguished from other festivals and has the possibility of tour product for inducing tourists and activating regional economy. This year's festival will have more displays, games, shopping and foods to be a distinctive festival and an everlasting memory to the tourists.


▶ 8th Celadon Festival


- 2003. 7. 26 ~ 8. 1 (7 days)


It has been selected as the best National festival for two years in a row since 2002, as it showed the possibility of globalization through the operation of program distinguished in Goryeo celadon's superiority and originality. It lit up the Goryeo traditional culture, as it presented various events such as the experience of Goryeo traditional culture, dyeing garden balsam on fingernail, walking on farm field and experience of making celadon to give joy and memory to tourists.   


▶ 7th Celadon Festival


- 2002. 7. 27 ~ 8. 2 (7 days)


It was selected as the best festival by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2002, because it showed the possibility of globalization using the most traditional subjects.

It was selected as the best festival and it also provided very special experience to cultivate millet, buckwheat, Indian millet, watermelon and melon with a shed.

Various hands-on experiences, celadon competition and spinning wheel competition were also presented to tourists. Especially it escapes from the convention and brought tourists to the course of making celadon.   


▶ 6th Celadon Festival


- 2001. 7. 28 ~ 8. 3 (7 days)


Soil, Fire, and HumanFestival. Selected One of the 10 main festivals of Korea (Ministry of Culture & Tourism). Set up a monument to the work of celadon craftsman. 

The festival became more focused on the tourist as we offered lots of experiences and interesting things to see. such as a celadon mosaic, chances to make celadon and learn coiling.

- 2000. 8. 5 ~ 8. 13 (9 days) 


Selected One of the 10 main festivals of Korea (Ministry of Culture & Tourism). Made pamphlets in English, Chinese, and Japanese. Also announced an opening ceremony in English and Japanese as lots of foreigners joined.   


▶ 4th Celadon Festival


- 1999. 8. 7 ~ 8. 15 (9 days)


Selected One of the 5 main festivals of Korea (Ministry of Culture & Tourism). We offered more fun experiences to tourists with the title of "Opening New Mysterious Millennium."   


▶ 3th Celadon Festival


- 1998. 9. 16 ~ 9. 20 (5 days) 


Selected One of the 6 main festivals of Korea (Ministry of Culture & Tourism), We provided a chance for a deeper consideration of celadon by adding a celadon seminar and potter's wheeling contest in this festival with the title of "Opening New Mysterious Millennium",

Selected one of the 10 main festivals of Korea (Ministry of Culture & Tourism). It changed from a local festival into a national festival as all citizens took part.

- 1996. 9. 15 ~ 9. 17 (3 days)


1996. 9. 15∥9. 17 (3 days)

Established Celadon Culture Festival committee and the 24th of Gangjin day and changed name of festival from the Guemrung Culture festival to the Celadon Culture Festival. Gangjin was known as the cradle of celadon by this first festival.
